Yep, finally holiday comes. There’s nothing I can do in my home, hell yeah, even though it’s nice for being home but it feels so boring just sitting alone and watching those freaks on television. Huh
Maybe you guys have same story with me, feel bored with this loooong holiday. So guys, let me introduce a game that won’t make you feel the same again. A game that can save you up from this boring holiday.
Yeah, Suikoden II for PSX, Megaman 6 for Gameboy and Final Fantasy XII for PS2
I play those games last holiday, and even though I have spent more than 50 hours playing Final Fantasy, I still cannot reveal all the mysteries, I still cannot get all weapons, armors of that game. And of course, it makes me feel so curious !!
Now, I’m gonna give you guys some advices in playing Final Fantasy XII. Here we go !!
First, there are so many new improvements from the previous version. To start the attack, you need to know your target, then you select the kind of attack you want to use. Is it normal attack, or magic attack.

Normally, every weapon needs 25-30 seconds of charging. Does it sound too long for you? Don’t
worry, here some tips you can do :
Master License Grid
Just like Final Fantasy X, there is a license grid for every single character in FF XII.
As you can see, the license grid splits into 2 parts. The lower part is the part that allows you to use so many kinds of new weapons (swords,daggers,axes,spears,bows,guns,rods,staffs,katanas,bombs,greatswords), and new armors (light armors, heavy armors, shields and GENJI armors)
The upper part is the license grid which allows you to use so many kinds of magic, technique, accessories, and skills.
Some of those skills shorten your charging attack by 10%. Moreover, if I’m not mistaken, there are 3 grids of this skill. So it means, you can shorten the charging time by 30% !!!
2. Use Haste
This kind of magic, just like it means in English, has a power to make everything faster. In every version of Final Fantasy, this spell exists. The effect of this magic can shorten the charging time up to 30% !!
How to use haste spell??
Haste is one of time magic and it only can be purchased in the middle of the game. You can access this spell on license grid in Time Magic 5 for 40 LP (license points).
*in Final Fantasy Tactics, Excalibur sword has haste spell on it, it means whoever use this weapon will get the haste effect without has to cast Haste magic to himself (or herself, hehe)
3. Use Berserk
Berserk is a state of condition where you’ll lost your consciousness. Your strength will increase greatly and your speed will be so awesome!! The weakness of this condition is, you can control your movement. You will attack every foe in front of you, no matter it is strong or weak. See?
To be in berserk state, there are 2 ways.
First, cast Berserk spell on an ally or on yourself. It’s cheap to buy Berserk in magic shop of Rabanastre and you can access the license grid named Arcane Magic 1 so you can use this magic in battlefield.
Second, use item called Bacchus’s Wine (am I correct??). You don’t need to access anything in License Grid in order to use items.
Next tips is how to get enemy's drop more often than usual..
Enemy's drops are very useful,, u can use some of them as your equipment, besides u can sell them to get money..
Every foe will drop a “thing” when you defeated it. But it’s not always, hehe. There are monographs that will help you to get the drop easily. There are 8 monographs :
1.
Knight’s monograph
Increase drop rate of giants and insects, 19000 gil
How to unlock : talk to any weapon owner 30 times
2.
Sage’s monograph
Increase drop rate of Spirit Enemies, 25000 gil
How to unlock : talk to any shop owner 100 times
3.
Dragoon’s monograph
Increase drop rate of Dragons and Plants, 22000 gil
How to unlock : read mob hunt bulletin board 40 times
4.
Hunter’s monograph
Increase drop rate of Monsters and Birds, 18000 gil
How to unlock : Clear Thextera Mob Hunt (level II) and talk to the client in Muthru Bazaar
5.
Mage’s monograph
Increase drop rate of Magical Enemies, 25000 gil
How to unlock : talk to any magical shop owner 25 times
6.
Pot’s monograph
Increase drop rate of Arcana Enemies, 25000 gil
How to unlock : sell some certain loots to any shop
7.
Warmage’s monograph
Increase drop rate of Undead Enemies, 20000 gil
How to unlock : read Mob hunt bulletin board 20 times
8.
Scholar’s Monograph monograph
Increase drop rate of Specialists Enemies, 22000 gil
How to unlock : talk to any armor shop owner 30 times
When you have already fulfilled the requirement, all of those monographs will appear in bazaar. What is bazaar? When you talk to any shop owner, they will ask you whether you want to buy something, sell your loots or access bazaar. It’s so simple actually.
